Identify everything that reveals the detail
A visible name may appear in more than one place: a title bar, a notification and a reflection in the same recording. Watch the full clip before drawing the first region. Note when each occurrence enters and leaves the frame.
Choose a slightly generous region. A box fitted exactly around a word can expose its edges when the camera shifts or the interface changes.
Choose an effect that hides enough
Blur and pixelation change detail in different ways. Judge them at the size of the final video, especially with short names or large numbers that remain recognizable at low strength.
For highly sensitive content, a weak cosmetic blur is not a reliable removal method. Use a fully covering treatment or remove the relevant part of the picture. The goal is that the information cannot be read, not merely that an effect is visible.
Give the region the correct lifetime
The effect must begin before the first readable frame and remain until the last one. Scrub slowly across both boundaries. A single uncovered frame can be enough to reveal what the rest of the clip hides.
If the same detail returns later, add or adjust the appropriate effect interval. Do not assume that covering the first appearance covers the whole recording.
Review tracking instead of trusting it blindly
Motion tracking can help a region follow a moving subject. It still needs review when the subject turns, becomes covered or leaves the frame. Play the tracked section and pause where the motion changes.
Correct a drifting region before extending the edit. A stable starting position and a clear subject generally give you a better basis than a box that includes several moving objects.
Check the actual output
Export a test and open it in a separate player. Check the strongest movement, the start and end of the effect, and any transition into a different shot. The editor preview alone is not the final evidence.
Keep the source private while sharing the reviewed output. Sending the untouched original alongside the edited video would undo the purpose of the edit.
