Set the interval

Add Speed at the playhead. Drag the slider, choose a preset, or enter an exact rate from 0.25× to 8× and press Enter. Values below 1 slow down; values above 1 speed up. Set Start and End to apply it to part of the clip.

Choose the sound

Follow speed changes pitch with playback speed. Keep pitch retains the original pitch. Warm adds fuller bass and softer highs; Bright brings out high frequencies; Radio narrows the frequency range.

These three tone modes also keep the original pitch and work at 1×. Listen before exporting. Use separate speed intervals; overlapping intervals must be separated before export.

Rate and sound mode reference

Set a rate from 0.25× to 8× using the slider or number. The quick values are 0.5, 0.75, 1, 1.25, 1.5 and 2×. Follow speed changes pitch with speed. Keep pitch preserves pitch.

Warm emphasizes bass and softens highs; Bright emphasizes highs; Radio narrows the frequency range. These three modes also preserve pitch. Speed affects duration, so preview cuts and fades again after changing it.

Import and choose the scope

Paste a complete code or Import file, then review it before Apply preset. Audio settings replace the current clip’s audio settings. Speed is optional and changes only the selected, unlocked speed region.

If none is selected, add or select a Speed region first. Existing timing, cuts and other speed regions remain unchanged. Undo restores the previous settings.

Opening a tool does not add an effect

Opening Speed, Zoom, Blur, Cut out, Canvas or Text shows its controls without adding an item. Use the explicit Add button when you want a new effect. New speed effects use Follow speed by default; existing projects retain their saved pitch mode.

Short selected timeline effects have separate edge handles, and numeric start/end fields remain available for precision.
