1. Prepare OBS
Install OBS and Source Record 0.4.8 or newer separately, then keep OBS running on this computer. In OBS, open Tools > WebSocket Server Settings, enable the server, and copy its port and password.
In Loaderly, open Live clipsFrom OBS, enter those values and Connect. The default port is 4455. The password is kept for this connection only. You do not need to start a broadcast or the main OBS recording.
2. Choose sources and start buffers
Choose Game / main source and an optional Camera. Keep the chosen sources visible in the active OBS scene. Select the results folder and Keep the last duration, optionally enable your saved shortcuts, then Start source buffers.
OBS and Source Record perform the encoding locally; this uses CPU or GPU, memory and disk. Use suitable source resolution and encoding settings, and a hardware encoder when available.
Loaderly creates its own filters and disables them on stop for later reuse.
3. Save, edit and arrange
Choose Save the last and save a take. While buffers fill, only available video is saved. Separate game and camera files keep their source audio. A source without audio stays silent.
The audio path also works without a broadcast or main recording running. Original source recordings stay in OBS originals. Use Edit game, Edit camera or Arrange together below the take.
Save commands are sent together, but source timing can differ slightly; review synchronization before export.
4. Stop and recover
Use Stop source buffers and allow pending output to finish. If startup or cleanup is incomplete, check the source in OBS and use Retry stopping buffers. Loaderly keeps pending filters until OBS finishes using them.
It waits for source preparation before starting an encoder, reducing the startup crash observed during testing. Do not manually remove an active Loaderly filter while a take is being saved.
If OBS exits, reconnect after reopening it and review the session status.
