Write and place
- Choose Text.
- Enter the text, then drag it in the preview.
- Set the font, size, color and timing in the inspector.
- Use a contrasting color and leave room around the frame edges.
Manage layers
Select a text clip on the timeline to edit it. Duplicate, hide, lock or remove it using its controls. Review Arabic shaping and mixed numbers in the exported file as well as the preview.
A timed title with a second line
Create one text layer for the title and give it its own interval. Add another layer for a separate caption when it needs different placement or timing. Name layers so you can select the right one later.
Pause on both a bright and a dark frame to check contrast, then review the exported Arabic or mixed-language text.
Text layer versus subtitles
Use Text for titles, labels and a few timed messages. Use Subtitles for a sequence of spoken lines with separate cue timings, or when you need to import SRT/VTT and translate the text.
A visualizer title belongs to the audio visualizer settings and is configured separately from video text layers.
